• Children's Week. Sal, Ravynn, Elly and Xena helped an orphan check out some sites in Outland and the Caverns of Time.

You picked up the quest in the Lower City from this lovely Troll.

One of the places you take your orphan (right) is to Nagrand where the Constorium are to visit her brother (on the left).

After completing the sites with your orphan you are rewarded with one of three non-combat pets. Neither one of us chose the eye, so sorry, no pictures of that.

Peanut (below)

Sal and Eggbert (below). The glow around Sal is what you get when you complete the quest. It lasts an hour and says "You feel good".

The Steamvault and The Mechanar

Hygeia and Qiana, brothers, grouped with myself, Sal and Carl for two awesome runs tonight!!

It was tough on Steamvault;s first boss, Thespia, but once we got her down we rocked!!

Carl got his first Dungeon 3 set piece, his Breastplate of the Righteous. Sal in The Mechanar, got her first Dungeon 3 set piece, Beast Lord Helm. WOOT!!!

Xena tanked both instances, while Qiana was on his rogue and Hygeia was on his priest. It was an awesome time! Xena got a new tanking necklace and cloak and Hygeia gave her better plate gloves, WOOT!!! I don't want to go to sleep, I am still way too hyper!

Xena also got her jewelcrafting up to 365! Sal won a roll on a recipe and gave it to me, now I can cut Noble Topaz to give + Spell Crit and something else I can't remember. =)

This game rocks when playing with good people! Hygeia, Qiana, Sal and Carl - thank you for staying up so late and running two instances with Xena as the tank. It was my second and third time tanking an instance, so it was very challenging, rewarding, educational and best of all, FUN!

ElunesGracePodcast #13 - Black Temple Trailer and Instance fun

News:

• Stratics chat with WOW Developers has been postponed to Monday, May 21st. It is taking place at 3:00 - 4:30 PM PDT in the #straticsHoC channel. Visit their website for more information.
• Black Temple trailer and Patch Notes - Holy cow!! If you have not seen this trailer check it out! It is very cool! I love the voice over work - Blizzard just continues to amaze me.

Our Instance runs:

Steamvaults - 3 boss instance (3rd wing in Coilfang Reservoir)

• After a learning curve we were able to down the 2nd boss Mekgineer Steamrigger. We ran out of time, so we attempted Hydromancer Thespia, the 1st boss, twice. Apparently going to the 2nd boss first is easier as far as the angle of pulls, etc. We shall clear it the next time, just you wait. (Pray that Sal gets her drops) =)

Auchenai Crypts - two boss instance. (Wing of Auchindoun in Bone Wastes, Terokkar Forest)

• Shirrak the Dead Watcher
• Exarch Maladaar

Ravynn now can travel in style with her epic mount!

Xena hit 70 today! Turning in a Consortium quest in Area 52!

Her next step was buying her flying mount.

• Tuesday, May 15th at 3:00 PDT in the #StraticsHoC channel. Players will be able to submit questions ahead of time for WOW Leade Designers Tom Chilton and Jeffrey Kaplan. Go to site for more information. Submit your questions by Sunday the 13th.
• World Series of Video Games concluded its WOW and Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne tournaments in Wuhan, China. Team Pandemic from America took first place in the WOW tournament! Check out site for full tournament coverage.
• The WOW launcher received an update on May 8th. It checks automatically to see if you need a newer version without having to log in. Worked great!
• Report in game gold spammers when it happens, Blizzard prefers you submit as soon as possible.

Our Happenings:

• Ravynn hit 61 and was able to do most of the quests in Hellfire Pennisula!
• Xena dropped Blacksmithing to become a Jewelcrafter. After getting tired of farming, spent around 400 gold to get to 354/375.
• Xena hit 68!
• Elly found the Elemental Plateau. A flying mount is required and is above the Throne of Elements in Nagrand.

• WOW's 3v3 arena will be featured as a premier event in competitions around the world in the 2007 World Series of Video Games. Registration is now open for two tournament locations: Louisville, KY (June 21-24) and Dallas, TX (July 5-8). For more info visit http://www.thewsvg.com.
• Effective immediately, Blizzard Entertainment's Technical Support and Billing & Account Servicews departments have new hours of operation: Monday through Friday, 8am to 8pm Pacific Time.

Instances this week:

• Sethekk Halls - two bosses: Darkweaver Syth and Talon King Ikiss
• Shadow Labyrinth - four bosses: Ambassador Hellmaw, Blackheart the Inciter, Grandmaster Vorpil and Murmur

Lower City Rep (taken from WOW's website):

• The repeatable quest "Outcast's Plight" turn in 30 Arakkoa feathers to an NPC in the Lower City. Repeatable through Friendly.
• Run Auchenai Crypts and Sethekk Halls, two wings of Auchindoun to get through friendly reputation.
• There are many quests in Terokkar Forest and Auchindoun that grant Lower City rep. For most efficient use of these quests, wait to do them until you are Honored.
• Shadow Labyrinth, final wing of Auchindoun, grants rep through Exalted for both normal and heroic mode. Heroic mode of Auchenai Crypts and Heroic Sethtkk Halls also produce rep for your climb to exalted.
